My copies of this split 7” finally arrived from Mylene Sheath. I’ve been looking forward to spinning these for months. Both Giants and Beware Of Safety are criminally underrated in the rapidly expanding circle of instrumental/post-rock bands. Both bands have an incredible knack for inserting hooks into otherwise un-pop-like music. If you’re already a fan of Giants, their track will be familiar territory. But BoS’ track on this split is a departure from their usual sound, instead exploring a trippier, more Pink Floyd like vibe. I’m in love with it.
The covers for these were printed by the always awesome Charlie Wagers. What’s really special about them is that they glow in the dark! Hot damn:
